Pirogue by Michael Baldwin, Emeryville, California 23 November 2009 Hello all! I just wanted to send you a quick picture of the Pirogue my daughter and I are working on together. This shot is just after she finished helping me put the first coat of paint on the hull. She can\'t wait to go paddling!

I used african mahogany for the shears and breasthooks, and 1/4\" mahogany plywood for the rest. Finish is fibergalss and clear resin. The fillets have been painted to cover the whiteness of them. Final interior is clear polyurethane spar varnish. Enjoy.

Kurt Gierlich Eureka, CA
